She then studied one year in Canada, in the Equine hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Saint-Hyacinthe, University of Montreal. Here, she successfully completed her thesis with honours in equine locomotor pathology and diagnostic ultrasound in 1999 with Dr. J.M Denoix.

A move to Hong Kong in 1999 brought her back to Canine and Feline Medicine and she had been working in Small Animal Practice since then. During this time, Dr. Baranger-Ete found the time to complete the Distance Education Sonology Course with the Post-Graduation Foundation of the University of Sydney in 2008 and a European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine with the ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies); focusing on Internal Medicine, studying with Utrecht University (the Netherlands).

Through out the past six years, Dr. Baranger-Ete has worked alongside Dr. Paul Brazzell, gaining valuable and extensive experience in small animal abdominal and cardiac ultrasound.

In 2013, she and Dr. Brazzell created and launched Hong Kong Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound Service. She is, since then, doing referral scans only, thrilled to be helping out all veterinarians in Hong Kong with their ultrasound needs.

Myriam also enjoys her time teaching other veterinarians ultrasound techniques in Asian seminars and workshops as well as overseas courses.

Hong Kong Mobile Ultrasound Service merged with Hong Kong Veterinary Diagnostics Centre Laboratory (now rebranded as Asia Veterinary Diagnostics)  and the Doctors Beck & Stone group in 2015, in order to form the Doctors Beck & Stone – Diagnostics Division.

Both entities  ( HKVUS & AVD) are still operating totally independently as third party services providers and Dr Myriam is now Director of both Imaging & Mobile Ultrasound & Asia Veterinary Diagnostics , thrilled to develop advanced diagnostics across Asia.
